I have a 27 inch BENQ monitor as well as a Lenovo 10 inch tablet that I wanted to look at simultaneously and so I bought this arm. This arm uses a "pole" as the vertical dimension and it is very strong, there is a ring to position it. A lot of other arms use a screw that needs to tighten but then becomes loose - this arm doesn't have this problem. This arm also has another arm for a tablet - you can use this for a large phone vertically - the holder is very strong. I am very happy with this arm, 100% !
