I do not know if the device was defective or improperly designed, but it did not detect the conditions as advertised. Missing ground and polarity reversed was reported only as missing ground. I consider that dangerous. Seller did not respond to my inquiry or the dispute I filed. Money refunded. Shipping was very fast though, so at last I didn't have to wait too long.
