Selected the BAKU 938 because they claim it has 18W power test: powerfull enougth to solder very small parts - on very small tracks. but it can not solder small parts connected to medium/large tracks solder station dus not have much power, not 18W as advertised: it takes 11.5W from mains, secundary:12.06V * 0.665A = 8.4W (with controll full open) element resistance is 16.8 ohm. transformer wire is 0.5mm, 02.mm2, good for 0.6A (0.8A for a short period) after a few tests, with "full" power - even if its only 8W, - the tip is destroyed safety: rusty transformer. hold/fixed by the mains wire. primary regulated, but no main fuse. no tempeture fuse inside the transformer.
