The 4-20mA interface unfortunately is a high side interface. Be aware that fact when designing an interface. The 4-20mA range can be set which is a nice feature- You can set from 5 to 8pH for instance giving you enough resolution even with 8 bit DAC's. The RS485 is NOT a ModBus interface but outputs data in ASCII at a fixed 4800 baud. Both interfaces are not well documented in the documentation supplied.
The RS485 interface is working at 4800,8N1 only and sends out measurement data as an ASCII string (e.g: "*# 05.69 pH## 025.0 oC"). It is NOT a MODBUS interface unfortunately !
