The package arrived slightly battered, but thanks to very safe wrapping the amplifier was in perfect condition. Considering the small size it is surprisingly loud without any remarkable distortion The metal case is sturdy and looks very good, but unfortunately the housing has strongly rounded edges and differs considerably from the same series' tube preamp design which is rather square - if you stack them it looks awkward and clumsy. I wonder why on earth the maker did not use matching boxes. The feel of the volume knob is OK but not as good as the tube preamp's premium class controller. Really annoying is the blue LED illumination of the volume knob, this looks outright cheap and silly in combination with the red power indicator, but this is my highly subjective impression. Bottom line: if you are looking for high power on a budget, this amplifier is what you want, highly recommended!
