anyone wondering if they are real opals.. they are genuine to the Ethiopiam opal trait my necklace was translucent and lost colour in the afternoon when I took it out on a rainy day due to humidity. by night the lustre and play of colour returned. I also ordered earrings and 2 rings. all of them are different and unique. the opal for the necklace is the least colourful for mine and my ring had a scratch on the opal face which is consistent to the fact that opals are quite soft gems but at least I know they are genuine. so if you are wondering the answer is yes these are genuine and beautifully coloured opals, not opaline. not sure if they are treated but TBJ ships from India, so I have confidence in them.
