This really made an old mouse complete whole again, instead of the G700(s) scroll wheel, I went with the G502 which is compatible with the G700(s) and even with the lock method from normal scroll to freescroll if you transplant the lock hoop from the original G700(s) block to this new one. That with a good alcoholic scrubbing it is as good as new and I absolutely prefer this metal structure for the scroll wheel than the default one! Just a huge tip, keep a good eye on the tiny two springs at the front as when you are lifting the scroll wheel holder they tend to spring lose, but you need these if you want to still use the middle mouse button click (mouse 3) if you switch the scroll wheel for this mouse. But all in all I'm very pleased with the result and only went for this one as I originally wasn't sure but the seller provided direct advice and information with images to actually make me choose for the g502 as I originally wanted that but feared compatibility. But now it's perfect!
