This monocular should have two focussing adjustments. First an adjustment to focus on the graticule to estimate distances. Second an adjustment to bring the immage of the vieuwed object into focus after the first adjustment described above. At present if your object is close to you, you have to chose, either the object is sharply visible and the graticule is practically invisible, or the graticule is sharply visible and the object you vieuw is blurry. In the description of the product the colesest object focussing distance is stated as 4 meters. That is correct, but then you will not be able to see the graticule. The darker the overall lighting conditions the further away the object you focus on will need to be in order to see both the object and the graticule. A short test in rather good lighting conditions showed me the minimum distance for both graticule and object (a car) to be sufficiently visible was about 50 meters.
Very nice
