The object was well packed. Despite of this, some little scratches are visible at the bottom black segment, like cracked paint. Besides that it looks like the lamp is covered by a sticky substance, see the black segments on the picture. Washing the glass under warm water with handsoap has no effect though, so it seems to be an imprint of something while the black paint wasn’t completely dry.
