it really is great. It holds a 14" pearl traveler kit tom on a ride cymbal and so far it's been doing great job. Though it looks flimsy for such a weight, nothing broke or cracked. The only flaw i can note is that it's rough metal in the holes and there are no soft insets to prevent the stand from scratches or dents because of the clamp pressure. I glued in a piece of rubber myself
