Maximumcatch New Iron Rotary Fly Tying Vice: it is a good design, but the build quality is bad and the materials are bad. The main part of the vice is the thread on the taper collet that screws into the body of the vice. The thread is very loose and moves while you are using the vice. The jaws that hold the hook are made of very soft steel and will not last long. The taper on the jaws does not match the taper on the collet and will wear a groove very quickly. This vice is very expensive AUD 67.42 and is an AUD 15 quality. It took me 2 hours of work to make it useable, but there is nothing I can do about the loose thread. Cutting a thread is the most basic of engineering and they could not get it right.
