The magnetic charging docks should not be used. They will destroy your controllers. We've lost four very expensive controllers, short circuited, which cost over $100 USD for each for Vive to fix. Often the pins break off, and the metal casing around the pins comes out as well. I contacted the seller but he blamed me for "wrong operation" of the charging ports, and said he had never heard of it happening before. The last controller that stopped working, got short circuited, yet none of the pins were broken, so I can't explain that. They would be great for my purposes, if the docks didn't break and also short circuit my controllers. It's too bad...now I am out the money I paid for 8 charging docks as well as the cost (and lost time) incurred in fixing four controllers.
