Arrived in good time as described. Sadly it leaks. The base is pressed metal and there is a constant trickle. It is usable to boot but not to keep hot water in. Seller issued a partial refund and I kept the item. Just trying to find a way to seal it with something that can withstand the heat.

I really wanted to like this kettle, in in some measure I do. However, the lid is not correctly made and is a poor and all too lose fit. Now, I'm a Smith by profession and so had the tools necessary to "adjust" the lid to improve the fit, but I should not have needed to, furthermore I found the edge at the base of the lid was sharp and had several long (as in onver a centimetre long) splinters, dangerous to say the least, I didn't expect to need to debur and file that edge in order to render the kettle safe to use. If the factory would like to recalibrate their machinery, I see no reason why this couldn't be made worth buying, but as it stands, unless you have the tools and know how to repair, adjust and refinish the lid, the quality and safety of this product, at least the one I was sent, is questionable at best, and I don't believe that I can recommend it until quality control improves.
