Packaged in bubble wrap plastic so it's very secure during transport. It's normally open switch but you can orient it any way you want. tested them all and they all work well. There is about 1cm of total movement available on the float and the switch closes when there is about or less than 5mm left to the top. There is also a silicone ring for waterproofing so it will not leak. The resistance in the switch and wire is about 0.7 - 0.5 ohms. It will work well for my project.
