False! Wrong I2C address. It does not work with any Arduino library. Search and you will find several forums reporting on these fake devices. Totally useless. Readings taken with this module are meaningless, without any correct reading. Don't buy this module!

Tested this module with microcontroller. Module responds to the write address 0x64 and read address 0x65. According to the MAX17043 datasheet these addresses should be 0x6C and 0x6D respectively. Module reports 0x003 for the VERSION register and 0x971C for the CONFIG register. When connected fully charged Li-Ion battery, the voltage level reported as zero and State of Charge (SOC) readings start from approximately 170% and go down by 2% every second. Conclusion: module can't be used to determine voltage and SOC and not recommended.
