this lens is light, short and focus length is 900mm. but of course don't expect the image quality to be sharp. I use my tamron 18-400 on crop camera nikon becomes 600mm. from 600m crop to 900mm Vs this mirror lens at 900mm, I can say the tamron produce a much more pleasing results. if you want to get a prime lens nikon 800mm. prepare to pay 20000 dollars . this is just 244 sin dollars. this lens is for someone who's first started in a telephoto zoom that gives a wow factor. you get what you pay for. it's really light, can carry it around. this lens is - if you wanna shoot a type of bird, you will see the type of bird on the pics. but if you wanna shoot the fine feature of the birds, get a 800mm prime at 20000 dollars. you get what I mean. in this modern times, if you don't mind paying more for 1000 sin dollars, a Nikon p1000 will produce much more fun and a better image quality of 3000mm optical zoom!
after using it for a week...don't waste your money on this lens. image quality sux. you will be better off spend a bit more buy a Nikon B700..better image quality and more zoom
