It looks pretty good, especially the glass part, and works alright on rechargeable batteries. Sound activation is sensitive enough to be usable. Still, there is noticeable coil whine, but very high-pitched so some people (with old or damaged ears) might not hear it. I can get used to it as it is a continuous sound, like a CRT TV flyback but even more high pitched. I don't suppose much can be about it though, as it obviously needs high voltage, and getting rid of coil whine is rather difficult.
