This device is ok, but has its flaws, tested on various cars now and it seems to have a problem recognizing new generation BMW ECU's. (2015 and up). Same problem on older 2009 Mercedes diesel, also no ECU connection. Even when selecting the model manually. However on most cars it works fine and quickly.
