I would not recommend these jack pads to my friends. The magnets used on this products are much too weak to hold the pad in place with confidence. My car is a two year old KIA Stinger and I have a hard time to place the pad on the welded seam which obviously has only a small surface exposed to the magnets. In addition, the manufacturer (KIA) coated the steel which probably makes it even more difficult for the magnets to work as designed. I am thinking that four or five magnets would be one solution, an other would be to place the magnets in a cup to concentrate the magnetic force. As it is, the product is not recommended and I have now four paper weights.. :(
