It's slightly different than the old N8 and seems to work with a few more unlicensed games that the old one doesn't run. Uses micro sd card instead of full size sd card. There is a red led that flashes when the micro sd card is accessed, but you cannot see it because the shell is solid gray and it is on the back side of the board.
Works with firmware updates. I updated it to the latest version (1.24). I also put it in a transparent black shell like like the other Everdrives. I don't understand why they put the power and access leds on the back side of the cartridge; you can't see them even with a transparent shell.
