63mm tool. Well made and virtually no need of any modifications. Inserts SECA1204 AFTN sited well. Positioning accuracy of cutting edge was +-0.015mm. Produced chips were very similar in shape and thickness. Really good quality steel, properly hardened. As of negative impression is positioning of inserts. Inserts are positioned not in line respect to rotating axis. Due to forward shift of the inserts respect to tool axis the actual rake angle of cut is close to 0 degrees (modeled in CAD to check how angles transforms). Thus force for cut may be quite high and may not be possible to have finishing quality with inserts of negative cutting angle. Test cut of construction steel showed acceptable results only at 900rpm. I think it is still good tool with exceptional steel quality at low price. You cannot expect perfect result for the price. Recommended.
100mm diameter tool. First impression was very good. Steel is excellent and properly hardened. However there are some small flaws with insert fixing. Side supporting wall is too narrow and insert is positioned too deep. This leads to real resting contact at very top of the insert. This caused cracking of few inserts when tightening. Central mounting hole is bit loose +0.050mm in diameter - some foil wrapped to fit properly. Final impression is mixed - steel is of excellent quality, but all in all this is not a tool you will have no problems. For the price it fits hobbyist category what actually may be true talking about quality. Sad point is that there is so few to make it very good - just bit more attention to the details. I would no recommend except for specific applications where hardness of the tool is a key factor.
