Packing was unprotected only the product box with a shipping sticker. The Tripod was in the bag and the bag in the product box. Maybe this has to be improved. The tripod itself is worth the money. It has a lot plastic, i think only the Legs are metal handle bar and some screws. Sure it saves weight and is totally ok if you buy it for mainly home use and sometimes outside. I think if you travel a lot with this maybe the plastic gets damaged over time, but i could be wrong. For me its what i did expect and a wonderfull thing for my needs. The price is totally fair in my opinion. So if you need a feature rich and cost valure tripod, you can buy this one.
