I have tried these gloves now a couple of times at -5 degrees Celsius and 0. With normal activity my hands were plenty warm and much warmer than cheaper dollar store gloves. They are suitable for skiing, snowshoeing, and regular winter activities outside. I am confident that hands will remain warm to at least -15 Celsius. Where they did get cool was when I had my hands in the snow a lot (snowball fight). The cuff is a snug but comfortable fit around the wrist that prevents snow from going in and keeps the glove on. However, if you have a large watch, you may find the cuffs awkward. The palms have some grip to them and I didn't find them slippery. I ordered extra large being an average size male from the west and the fit was perfect. I would recommend them.
