I ordered a replacement keyfob with transponder chip, and additionally ordered to cut the key blade based on a photo. The chip was not inside the keyfob, so I had to open its 'key'-compartment to insert it. The key flipping mechanism got stuck, so I used a small flat-head screwdriver to flip out the key. By just opening the 'key'-compartment (without taking out the parts that are inside), it got unstuck. I opened the 'remote'-compartment by turning a big flat-head screwdriver in this compartment's space for the key blade. I added a small keyring to the metal end. A logo sticker was included. In the car, I programmed both the chip and the remote of the replacement keyfob. In the end, everything proved to function fully as expected.

The key flipping mechanism got stuck a second time. After the key flipping mechanism had been unstuck after the second time it got stuck, I tried it many many times flipping out and in. This worked without failure. So now the key flipping mechanism is OK. I am happy with the result. [] When preparing the keyfob for use, I used instructions from the following three videos. --- (1) To separate the two compartments of the keyfob, and to insert the transponder chip: Search on YouTube for "FIX Mazda key repair broken Flip". --- (2) To program the transponder chip: Search on YouTube for "2011 Mazda CX-9 blade key programming without any tool!". --- (3) To program the remote: Search on YouTube for "Programme Mazda 6 Central Locking HOW TO".
