It would have been nice to know that the thing beneath the post gasket that looks like a hex nut, is not. It's actually a hex nipple, necessary to keep the little poppet all the way up the post. So, if you want to adapt one of these to a vessel (in my case to a lid of a fermenter bucket), you are going to need a hex nut and gasket. And one other thing, the gas and liquid post are identical, and if they are not, and there is some tiny difference between them that i missed, there is nothing that can be use to identify them once you take them apart for cleaning.
