The lantern function works well - brighter than I expected. The flashlight lamp is bright, yet not as bright as I expected. The magnet is strong enough to hold the light hanging vertically but will not hold it in a horizontal position. It seems well made. A flashing red LED indicates when it is connected to power and charging. There is a plastic barrier that needs to be removed from the end of the battery before you can use or charge it.

ok, very nice. Rechargeable, battery 18650. 1 month to have it in Italy. very powerful, nice idea the COB all around. Powerful magnet on the back side.
