This is a cheap lightweight stand. It is enough to get your rear wheel off the ground to spin when checking gears or for minor adjustments. It is not sturdy for major adjustments. If you don't want to spend a lot of money, and are willing to fidget with an inexpensive stand, it may get the job done, but this is not a replacement for a regular bicycle stand if you need something secure or to do major work on your bike.
