The handle is made of 201 or 304 Stainless Steel. The base that is fixes to the wall, as well as the Screw M8 is made of simple steel and may corrode as time go more than few years. right ! However the quality of the unit is good enough will for its purpose for at least 5 yesrs. Consider the price of a 50 cm grab bar at the price of ~ 8$ this is well over the expectation of any product, even when used a a regular shower.
