Not shiny (maybe if you dare to rub special silicone oil on it). Not thick at all (just a coated fabric). However in total OK. Sizing information seems good (I have strong legs). The only weakness is that the design shape around and just above the ankle area is poor (too loose and thus the material is floppy ... instead of skin tight like the rest above).
