Reasonable tent. Very light weight poles and pegs and good quality bag. Weighs 2.5kg. The tent is neither good nor bad. There were four or five marks on the fabric of the floor of the tent and the fly which was disappointing (see photo). The zips are ok quality and should probably be handled with a little care. I had trouble getting them to run smoothly around the corners. The zips are my greatest concern and the reason for one-star loss. The fly seems made of a good material. The tags where the guys are attached are not cut correctly and all the weight of the guy pulls on the top of the tag, (See photo) The floor is made of a polyester fabric rather than the plastic of other tents. If you were operating in wet conditions, I think I'd want a polythene sheet under the tent. I haven't tried the tent in any weather but it seems good enough to hold up. The price of the tent itself represents good value. With the courier costs to NZ on top, it's marginal.
This is a good tent. I've used it in a few times now and it is easy to put up and stands up well to the elements. This is a more comfortable and well constructed product than the ultra light weight one-person tents, if you can cope with the modest extra weight. (obviously it cant compare to an MSR tent but for what you pay its awesome) The flooring is great and keeps the moisture out so disregard my comment above. The tags on the guys seems pretty standard on all tents; I dont know why they are cut like that way - it makes no sense unless you intend pegging your guys 2m from the tent! The tight stitching does pull on the zips and makes them tricky in places and care is required but this is a great value tent with lots of room for two people and gear or three people. I recommend this tent and the Trader.
Just as it was written was delivered. Quality will go, but we'll see how long it lasts.
