Nice design. pitty that most disks cannot be read. i've tried 10 disks. only 3 were accessible and that were satas. Ide's dont work at all.
Docking Station arrived in good condition. Tested & found it works satisfactorily. Although I didnt benchmark it, creating a TrueCrypt 5Gb folder and moving 3gb files into it took about 30 seconds. However creating a 90Gb TrueCrypt folder and moving 60Gb of data into it took about 54mins. Overall good value for a docking station. Highly recommended!
My earlier comments refers to using this docking station on a 2TB sata hard disk, under Win7 x64 and Win8.1 x64. Later I tested this docking station using older 320Gb IDE hard disks, and I found the read/write performance is also very acceptable under both Win7 x64 and Win8.1 x64. Before Plugging in your IDE Hard Disk look carefully before plugging in so you dont damage the IDE pins. Move the molex socket using the switch under the docking station to align with your molex pin plug on your IDE Hard Disk. Be very patient and if you have aligned your Hard Disk properly firmly push in your IDE Hard Disk. I used a Marker Pen to mark where the Hard Disk should be aligned, so everytime I get it right where to push the Disk in. Very Useful station foe me as I have many old IDE hard disks to retrieve files I had forgotten about. Good Value Product. Highly Recommended!
