Arrived in great time, looks to be in great shape. Can't wait to get it on the water!
I've been able to use the rod a couple times now, and I'm very satisfied with it. It has alot of backbone and was able to handle fish in the 16-18 inch range very well. It seems to cast well, and a added bonus of not being fragile. The addition of rod tip sections and a bag is highly appreciated! I will add a couple very minor negatives. First is the handle, it has a metal ring that's supposed to keep the handle from breaking apart, but after the first day that has become loose, and the handle keeps trying to extend and fall apart. It's not a deal breaker, and it's not as bad as it sounds, but who knows how long it will hold up for a comfortable grip. Secondly it's not a very sensitive rod, and it's hard to feel the fly in the drift, or be able to tell fish from snag. Overall, for the price, its absolutely worth it and I recommend it to anyone wanting to try out Tenkara style!
