Yes, they are photochromic and yes, they are cheap, but the quality is very poor. Lenses scratches very easily. I bought this lenses for two different frames and both glasses are scratched after three weeks. I am very careful with my glasses so I do not understand how they can be damaged. Seller is very good, I am always satisfied with the frames as well as the job done but the next time I will definitely buy a better lenses, not this one.
