This PCB doesn't work with USB-C. Strangely, it won't even power up. I tried connecting to to my current-generation Macbook Pro using a USB-C cable and using a different cable to connect directly to two different USB-C power adapters, neither of which worked. I was able to get it to work by charging it using an old USB-A iPhone charger using the provided USB-A adapter. Once I got it to take a charge I was able to connect to the Macbook via bluetooth, which does work, but I have to charge it using the old iPhone charger. I actually ordered the same PCB from another vender and had the same problem. It's almost certainly a bug in the firmware but I haven't been able to find a patch.
