A nice Douglas Self Blameless type amplifier including the appropriate VAS stage. (Many of the Blameless variants in kit or assembled form only use a single transistor for the VAS.) I found the best distortion at 30 mV measured from NPN emitter to PNP emitter (they are BCE pinout). (Running +/- 40 VDC for 4 Ohm load.) I have attached two distortion measurements, the first at 1 Vrms and the second at 8 Vrms into 4 Ohms. The distortion is very low at 1 Vrms but the 2nd harmonic does rise fairly rapidly at 8 Vrms. I found that the bias point is not very temperature stable and drops rapidly as the amplifier heats. I might try different Vbe multiplier transistor types to see if I can find a more stable combination with these outputs. I might further modify with two pairs of outputs later to see if that reduces the 2nd harmonic distortion with 4 Ohms at higher levels.
Looks good will leave more feedback when I test it
