Good quality pickups! Though delivery was too long (two months)
I try to be unbiased about music gear, used several other established Chinese brands before with great results. I heard alot of good things about Donlis so decided to try. Material used look of decent quality but the build quality dissapointed. Bobbin plates not evenly cut, only one turn of tape applied around coils which leaves gaps all over, covers are not attached at all, final turn of bobbin wires sticking out on the plate which is the most annoying and dangerous flaw in my opinion. Looks like a rush job. Also it took full 7 (seven) weeks to arrive, much slower than average. I think there were no stock and it had to be manufactured. Still not a deal breaker though, if it sounds good i'm ok with it but was expecting much better build quality especially for the price. Will post how it sounds when i put them in.
The insallation was flawless, dimensions are spot on and the pickups sound great! Totally transformed my MIM jazz bass, i highly recommend. Once i removed the MIM pickups i realized Donlis did a better job than the MIM Fender. Flaws i listed above are still valid but disregard my comment regarding the covers not being attached since this appears to be the norm. I'm not used to this since the pickups i previously changed did not have this style covers. Once i open up the guitar i saw the shielding was very poorly done so i did full shielding and that completely got rid of any noise what so ever. The jazz bass is now silent as a mouse. Overall great purchase, i am satisfied despite the flaws. Thanks Donlis!
