It is not a native COM port. It is a Prolific USB to RS232 adapter that connects to ExpressCard slot. You can't use it with MS-DOS for example.

this is good quality, but I was hoping this is a true serial chip inside. Internally it's acually a USB interface with a Prolific RS232 attached to it But works pretty well! and shipping is SUPERFAST ! very happy
