Sadly, the voltage regulator heats up considerably (which is to be expected, but it might also be a faulty IC), and it sits just next to the DHT11 sensor without any isolation (which I'd say is a pretty bad design decision), so the temperature readings are completely off (between 4 and 10 degrees in my quick tests) rendering the whole thing useless.. I guess my only way of salvaging this board is to try to bypass the regulator and put another one in a separate board.
