It's cheap and works 100%. Fitted to a 2006 Passat Wagon. Was having issues EPB errors 1 out of every 5 parks. the light would flash and had to pull battery and hold brake pedal for 30 seconds then push the brake button for 10.. This button hasn't failed once in 2 weeks. Should have got a backup. As a precaution I also checked the EPB motors. No cracks in the housing or visible wear. They spin effortlessly. only other issue could be the brake module. Nothing in VCDS either. So far so good!

Still going strong. Just completed a 2,500 kilometre journey and this new switch seems to have solved my EPB issues completely. If you have replaced the switch and are still having intermittent issues you may also be suffering form low voltage errors. if you have VCDS check the EPB error and make sure that it isn't low voltage related, if so the battery may be on the way out. Either recondition your battery (put on a battery conditioner and leave it until cycle complete) or replace the battery entirely. VW cars hate low voltage, a crap battery will give you other errors as well which you may see come and go without cause.
