I haven't tried the textured side, but the smooth one is a total improvement of bed adhesion vs the "Ultrabase" of the Artillery Genius. The only thing that bugs me (but it's only a visual annoyance, for now) is that the PEI sheet on the smooth side does not reach to the front part (see Pic). I hope it doesn't start separating from there.
