Fitted the switch which worked for a couple of weeks but then failed with a large electrical arc visible from out the the kettle. The metal contacts of the switch do not appear adequate for the current required by the heating element which is disappointing since it purports to be a 13 A device. Had it worked properly it would have been an ideal replacement for my Russell Hobbs Kettle switch but as it stands it is a waste of my time and money. I cannot recommend this item which is a shame as the dispatch was quick and the item is an almost drop-in replacement.
