they are way too large for a female hands: I'm not petite and yet I can only open a tiny fraction, see the photos. They are also super heavy, using them causes physical pain. the handles seem to be metal too. the blade length should be specified. 12inch is for the whole scissors, not just blade. if you are a male tailor, they are ideal for you as they can open a lot and are very sharp. if you are a female, you'll be unable to use them. 3 stars, because all this information was not included in the item description.
