The microfoon signal in the dispay of the Drift XL only comes on when it detects a microphone signal. Your microphone needs to have a 3.5mm 2 or 3pole connector with signal on the tip, and mass on the bottom ring, the middle ring is not important. Most aftermarket micro's have a 4pole connector, these will NOT work.
