Makita replacement charger, plug in charge, works well. just what I wanted.

Excellent! There are two identical boards inside, so even if one blows up the other could continue working OK. Each board is a switching power supply and seems to be a balancing charger. The large, heavy components are glued to the board so it seems to be able to withstand some harsh treatment. The case is well ventilated and have lots of empty space inside, so it should deal well with the heat. There are nice heatsinks attached to the parts that do the heavy work. On the down side, the case could be more compact and the LEDs are a little too sunk under the panel, you need to look straight down to see them well.
