The product is good, it does not have a memory function but that was known beforehand.

it is not feasible to install the battery as noted in the instructions because there is no battery holder for it on the circuit board. This means that you have to totally disassemble the unit to the point of removing the main circuit board, soldering in some kind of holder and only then will you be able to put a battery in it. This means that it will not retain the memory for your cost per kw/Hr so rather limits the usefulness of this unit.. You should not have to do such a modification to a brand new unit. Sure was shipped fast though.... Too bad it is not as advertised.
