The fans are not silent, but between 20% and 35% it seems tolerable. I'm pleased with how the fans work, but it does have some strange smell to it kind of like new power supplies. The smell will probably go away after a week. I'm running 2 of these fans on from 1 fan header so the results vary from a single fan. I didn't both to test a single fan since I was planning to use 2 for cooling the VRM in a tight area and would likely not go past 40% speed because it does get noisy. I'm surprised the max RPM is so much higher than it was listed at, but later on I might test them out individually. 2 fan from 1 fan header: 100% @ 5793 RPM 70% @ 4192 RPM 40% @ 2014 RPM 35% @ 1636 RPM 30% @ 1189 RPM 25% @ 906 RPM 20% @ 805 RPM
