Item works as described. smooth control of lights. System did not work when battery first installed in Controller. Needed to be paired to "Main unit". Directions for doing this may not be included in all versions of manual. PAIRING INSTRUCTIONS 1) Power off Main Unit for 5 seconds. Power on. 2) On Controller, press SPEED- and SPEED+ together within 5 seconds of powering on Main Unit. Should now be paired.
