They seem good, although I think it is probably difficult to put such a range of magnifications in pair of half frame spectacles. I did ask for 3.5 as the close focusing part, so there seems to be quite a large area in the middle where the focus is changing rapidly and I can't look through that. They are laminated lenses with thee layers. I think this is an expensive process which makes the lenses stronger. The lenses are multicoated on either side (which is good). They are supplied with two sets of eyepads, one is larger than the other. You can change the eyepads by removing a small screw. A small screwdriver is supplied. The lenses are marked with the postions of your eyes for close and and distance reading. These marks should be removed with a suitable solvent. They are supplied in a good strong case with a nicrofibre cloth. I was not charged any import duties or taxes to the uk.
