The one I got had a (probably natural) crack all the way down the side ... I wasn’t planning on using it as an ashtray anyway. The finish is very thick - can’t really see the natural grain its dark brown almost like paint, I think i will try to remove it. But other wise it is a really cool box, especially for the price.
