I bought this laser to replace my Sega CD old one, that was not able to read the disc most of the time. When I received it, looks like it is the same model and seems to come adjusted because it has a white glue in the potentiometers. Installed and nothing. The laser doesn´t work. The disc does not spin at all (with the old one it spins but does not read). Contacted the seller and he told me to adjust the potentiometers. I spent more than 3 hours with them and nothing: the disc never spins. After that, no more answers or messages from the seller. I wouldn´t recommend it if you are looking for a Sega CD Model 1 laser replacement.
Looks good. Will install and test and will amend if faulty but all looks good. Original Sony made ..not copy.
